evolvGREEN funding Approval

City of Waterloo Council approved $120,000 to support the creation and ongoing operations of Sustainable Waterloo Region’s (SWR) evolvGREEN hub. Council also approved in principle, an additional $190,000 in 2019-2022 funding with this additional funding to be affirmed during Council’s budget process (for a five-year total of $310,000).

Proposed for the ground floor of the new evolv1 building, SWR is working together with the Accelerator Centre, University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University, the City of Waterloo, and the Region of Waterloo to create evolvGREEN: a hub that brings together university researchers and students, start- up clean tech companies, non-profit and for-profit entities, as well as government agencies to foster innovation in the development of the clean economy. is distributed twice weekly; Tuesday and Thursday
