Waterloo Grads Flying for Sunwing Airlines

Waterloo Region - The first graduates from a new University of Waterloo (UW) & Waterloo Wellington Flight Centre (WWFC) career pathway program with Sunwing Airlines have become qualified airline pilots.

Four graduates from the UW/WWFC program were hired in July 2016 and began Sunwing's rigorous airline indoctrination program. First Officers Chelsea Anne Edwards, Cameron Fuchs, Siobhan O'Hanlon and Spencer Leckie successfully completed the training and are now flying as First Officers for Sunwing. The success of the graduates speaks to the high-calibre of aviation training within the UW/WWFC programs and represents a significant investment by Sunwing Airlines in recruiting, training and employing a high level of pilot graduates.
