Roads to Transportation & Logistics Job Expo on September 7th, 2017

Ayr, Ontario – September 1st, 2017 – Whether hoping to find a first job, a new career direction or training opportunities, members of the public will find hundreds of exciting opportunities at the Roads to Transportation & Logistics Job Expo. This free job expo will take place on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the Cambridge Hotel and Conference Centre, in the Sussex Ballroom, from 12:00 pm to 6:00pm.

Twenty-two businesses will be in attendance to promote their current employment opportunities and the training requirements needed for a rewarding career. Colleges and trade schools will be on hand to discuss programs and training tailored to help you succeed with a career in the transportation and logistics industry.

Local Employment Ontario service providers will be in attendance to provide resources and information to job seekers.

This event is organized by The Workforce Planning Board of Waterloo Wellington Dufferin. The Roads to Transportation & Logistics Job Expo is sponsored by Tri-County Training, Ontario Truck Association, Libertyline Haul, and Transportation Maintenance and Technology Association (TMTA).

This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario.

Operating as part of the Workforce Planning Ontario network, it is one of 26 local planning areas funded by the Advanced Education & Skills Development to conduct and distribute local labour market research and engage community stakeholders in a planning process that supports local solutions to local issues. WPB’s mandate is to provide guidance regarding important workforce and employment challenges facing Waterloo, Wellington and Dufferin.
